Guides to Notable Collections and Resources

The Museum of Modern Art Archives, Library, and Research Collections preserve and make accessible publications and archival documents spanning the history of modern art in the 20th and 21st centuries. Below are guides and descriptions of some of our most notable holdings. Records for all these materials can be found in the library catalog at library.moma.org, and most archival collections have detailed finding aids describing their full extents. Researchers should consult those resources before making appointments to view materials in our reading rooms. Requests for appointments or any questions about our collections can be made through the contact links for each department at left.
